Geostud participated at the XXI edition of the National Railway Symposium, an event organized by the Technical University of Constructions Bucharest (UTCB) in collaboration with the National Railway Company CFR Călători SA. The symposium, held under the theme "New concepts in the construction and modernization of railway lines", brought together experts and specialists in the field of railway infrastructure.
Two company representatives gave presentations highlighting Geostud's expertise in major rail infrastructure projects:
- Eng. Sebastian Mustățea, head of Geotechnics II Department of Geostud, presented the innovative technical solutions implemented in the execution of the Balota tunnel, an essential component of the strategic project to modernize the Craiova-Caransebeș line. His presentation demonstrated the company's ability to successfully manage complex challenges in projects of national importance.
- Eng. Vlad Ciulică contributed with a detailed analysis on the stability of FC structures in relation to the anisotropy of steep slopes. His paper emphasized the importance of implementing the highest safety standards in railway design and highlighted Geostud's rigorous approach to geotechnical risk assessment and management.
Geostud's participation at this symposium reconfirmed the company's key role in the modernization of the Romanian railway infrastructure and its commitment to innovation and excellence in geotechnical engineering.
