Geostud continues its collaboration with the Technical University of Civil Engineering Bucharest (UTCB) to support the practical training of students in the fields of construction, geotechnics, and environmental protection. In spring 2025, the company participated in two professional training initiatives: ConstructFEST and applied internship sessions, organized by UTCB in partnership with the Bucharest Construction Students’ Association (ASCB).
At Geostud’s booth during ConstructFEST, students engaged with the company’s team, discussing current challenges in construction and geotechnics, applied solutions in ongoing projects, and career opportunities, including internships, training programs, and entry-level positions. During these interactions, Petru Nicolae, CEO and General Manager; Emil Oltean, Technical Director – Geotechnical Division; and Sebastian Mustățea, Head of Geotechnical Division , emphasized the importance of hands-on training and involvement in real-life projects.
Following the event, Geostud organized applied practice sessions for students from the Faculty of Civil, Industrial and Agricultural Engineering and the Faculty of Railways, Roads and Bridges. The program included presentations of the Construction Testing and Analysis Laboratory, demonstrations of geotechnical investigation methods, case studies from the company’s portfolio, occupational safety and health training, as well as discussions on the evolution of the geotechnical sector in Romania.
These initiatives support the integration of students into the labor market, offering them practical experience and exposure to professional standards in the field. The collaboration with UTCB is part of Geostud’s strategy to contribute to the training of future engineers, equipped to meet the current demands of the construction industry.
