Geostud participates in the 20th edition of the National Corporate Football Championship (CNFC)

The Geostud football team is once again in the race for medals and trophy in the 20th edition of the National Corporate Football Championship, scheduled to start on 7 September 2022. This edition has 8 more teams in the competition than the championship held in spring this year, i.e. 40 teams. This decision was approved by the European Forum, due to the popularity of the game among companies.

The CNFC is Romania’s biggest football tournament dedicated to corporate sport, where company employees compete over 9 weeks to win one of the 5 trophies at stake. The winning teams in this edition have the right to participate in international competitions organized by the World Forum.

“Together with the Romanian Federation of Corporate Sport we promote a healthy lifestyle, team spirit, fighter and winner. By continuing this partnership we offer our employees a safe and pleasant environment in developing teamwork skills, the opportunity to experience the satisfaction of victory with colleagues and the chance to perform beyond their professional duties. We support our footballers, we will be with them at all matches and we wish them the best results in this sporting competition. Go Geostud! Geostud is you!” – declares Petru Nicolae, General Manager and Ionuț Vlad Sandu, Deputy General Manager.

The Geostud football team is composed of 15 players, and after the drawing of lots for the preliminary groups, it is competing with Noark, Raiffeisen Bank and Leviatan. The first match, Geostud – Raiffeisen Bank, will take place on Thursday 8 September at 21:20 in the Dinamo Sports Complex.

40 teams are entered in the National Corporate Football Championship, divided into 10 groups of 4. Depending on the place at the end of the 3 matches in the initial group phase, each team can qualify for one of the 5 value leagues: SuperLiga, FIFCO League, UEFCO League, FRSC League and IFCS League.

All rounds of the competition are played at the Dinamo Sports Complex and supporters are expected to come out in large numbers to support and cheer their favourites from the tribune.
