On May 15, 2023, we started the geotechnical drilling for section 2 of the M5 metro line, an essential project for the development of Bucharest's transport infrastructure. This new phase marks an important step in the realization of a vital connection between the Pantelimon district and the Eroilor area, which will improve urban mobility in the capital
Section 2 of the M5 Magistrale, which will link Eroilor to Iancului Square, stretches 5.4 kilometers of double track and will include six strategic stations:
- Hașdeu
- Cișmigiu
- University
- Calea Moșilor
- Traian
- Iancului Square
This route has been designed to serve key areas of the city, giving Bucharest's residents quick and efficient access to important points of interest. Once completed, the new busway will make a significant contribution to decongesting surface traffic and provide a modern and efficient public transport alternative.
