Geostud participates in the third general assembly of beneficiaries for the DaWetRest project in Croatia

I had the privilege to represent Geostud at the third General Assembly of Beneficiaries (GAB3) for the EU project DAnube WETlands RESToration (DaWetRest), held in the city of Osijek, Croatia.

The three-day event program kicked off with a field trip to the Middle Danube Demo Site, held in conjunction with the EcoDaLLi Project's climate change event - "EcoDaLLi Middle Danube Living Lab." Despite unfavorable weather conditions, the field trip provided valuable insights and created unique hands-on learning opportunities for all participants.

During the working sessions, we had the opportunity to assess in detail the progress made in the first year of the DaWetRest project. The discussions focused on three main aspects: analyzing the results achieved so far, identifying and addressing the challenges encountered, and developing strategies for the next stages of the project.

This general assembly once again highlighted the importance of international collaboration in Danube wetland restoration projects. By actively participating in such European initiatives, Geostud reaffirms its commitment to the protection and restoration of the valuable ecosystems of the Danube.

We are looking forward to the next steps of the DaWetRest project and are confident that, through the joint efforts of all partners involved, we will make a significant contribution to the conservation and restoration of the Danube wetlands.
