Geostud attended the fourth DaWetRest general meeting in Portugal

Reprezentanții Geostud s-au alăturat partenerilor internaționali la cea de-a patra întâlnire generală a beneficiarilor proiectului DAnube WETlands RESToration, care s-a desfășurat în Beja, Portugalia, în perioada 11-15 noiembrie 2024.

The Geostud delegation consisted of Managing Director and CEO Petru Nicolae, Deputy Managing Director Vlad Sandu and climate change expert Delia Dimitriu. During the five days, the agenda included working sessions and strategic discussions as well as a field visit to local wetland restoration sites, giving participants the opportunity to observe first-hand the challenges and solutions implemented in the local context.

DAnube WETlands RESToration is an ambitious project running from June 2023 to May 2027, bringing together 26 partners from 12 European countries. The main objective is to restore vital ecosystems such as wetlands, floodplains and salt marshes. The project is characterized by an integrated approach, addressing ecological, socio-economic and technological factors to ensure the long-term sustainability of restoration interventions.

Geostud's participation in this meeting emphasized the company's commitment to nature-based solutions and the importance of international collaboration in ecological restoration projects. The experience gained will help to improve ecosystem restoration practices and develop innovative solutions to today's environmental challenges.
