Geostud participated in the workshop dedicated to Nature Based Solutions (NBS) and policy recommendations for the Danube and Black Sea region. The event, organized by EcoDaLLi Project partners in collaboration with the DAnube WETlands RESToration project, took place in Burgas on 14-15 October 2024.
The workshop was a key component of the Danube and Black Sea Lighthouse initiative, which aims to protect ecosystems and restore biodiversity in these vital areas. During the event, participants reviewed and discussed tools developed within the DaWetRest project, including:
- Methodology for implementing Nature Based Solutions (NBS)
- Catalog of best practices for freshwater restoration near Burgas demonstration site
- Methodology for implementing Nature Based Solutions (NBS)
- Policy recommendations for promoting SBN in the Danube and Black Sea regions

Geostud - A leading advocate of sustainable finance
Geostud was represented at the workshop by Deputy Managing Director Vlad Sandu, who emphasized the company's commitment to the development and implementation of sustainable environmental solutions. As a partner in the DaWetRest consortium, Geostud actively contributes to advancing approaches for ecosystem restoration and promoting the application of SBN in the region.
The participation in this workshop demonstrated the alignment of Geostud's work with the European Union's mission to use nature-based solutions to improve the resilience of the Danube and Black Sea ecosystems, as well as the company's commitment to working with local communities and stakeholders to achieve these goals.
